Well some of you may or may not know that he did another complicated and highly serialized drama series on ABC called “Alias”. Alias ran for five years between 2001 and 2006, and centered around Jennifer Garner as a CIA Agent.

per Wiki: The main theme of the series explores Sydney’s obligation to conceal her true career from her friends and family, even as she assumes multiple aliases to carry out her missions. These themes are most prevalent in the first two seasons of the show. A major plotline of the series was the search for and recovery of artifacts created by Milo Rambaldi, a fictional Leonardo da Vinci-like inventor and Nostradamus-like prophet from the Renaissance period. This plot and some technologies used in the series pushed Alias into the genre of science fiction.

Fans of Lost and Heroes will be glad to know several actors from those shows are in this including Lost’s Terry O’Quinn (John Locke) and Heroes’ David Anders (Adam Munroe/Takezo Kensei) and Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman). Grunberg also played the pilot of Oceanic 815 who got f*cked up by the smoke monster in the 1st episode of season 1.

Below is a fanmade trailer for the series. This show is HIGHLY recommended, and while it definitely drops of a bit in the middle seasons, it’s still way better than a lot of crap out there on TV.

A US Attorney’s office “erroneously” sent a confidential court document to The Washington Post after the Post requested a different file, exposing that the newly-elected chairman of the Republican National Committee had his 2006 Senate campaign pay his sister’s defunct company for services that were never performed — including $37,000 for “catering/web services” paid to her company 11 months after she filed to have it dissolved.

Federal agents have contacted Steele’s sister, the chairman’s spokesman told the paper.

Former Steele campaign finance director Alan Fabian “offered the information last March as he was seeking leniency for himself during plea negotiations on unrelated fraud charges,” the Post said. “It is unclear how extensively his claims have been pursued. Prosecutors gave him no credit for cooperation when he was sentenced in October.”

Steele’s spokesman, Curt Anderson, dismissed the charges.

‘”It’s from, what, a convicted felon? And it has no substantiation in fact,” he said.

In 2003, when he won the American League home run title and the AL Most Valuable Player award as a shortstop for the Texas Rangers, Alex Rodriguez tested positive for two anabolic steroids, four sources have independently told Sports Illustrated.

Rodriguez’s name appears on a list of 104 players who tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in Major League Baseball’s ’03 survey testing, SI’s sources say. As part of a joint agreement with the MLB Players Association, the testing was conducted to determine if it was necessary to impose mandatory random drug testing across the major leagues in 2004.

When approached by an SI reporter on Thursday at a gym in Miami, Rodriguez declined to discuss his 2003 test results. “You’ll have to talk to the union,” said Rodriguez, the Yankees’ third baseman since his trade to New York in February 2004. When asked if there was an explanation for his positive test, he said, “I’m not saying anything.”

Phone messages left by SI for players’ union executive director Donald Fehr were not returned.

As we’ve previously reported, the Hope posters that artist Shepard Fairey created during the presidential campaign use an image of Barack Obama that’s based on a photograph taken for the Associated Press by then-freelancer Mannie Garcia.

Now, the AP wants credit and compensation.

The wire service says Fairey didn’t get permission to do what he did. Fairey’s attorney says “fair use” gave him the legal right to take the image and rework it into a piece of art.

“We have reached out to Mr. Fairey’s attorney and are in discussions. We hope for an amicable solution,” says the AP’s director of media relations, Paul Colford, in a statement.

As user ReceptionFades was the first to point out on BuddyTV, the name of Ben’s carpet cleaning van is “Canton Rainier,” which is an anagram of “reincarnation.” Since the Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Parlor used an anagram to foreshadow the flash forward, does this also mean something?

The Ajira Airways bottled water the castaways found in the canoe was a huge piece of the puzzle for people who have followed the online world, where this season’s web tie-in was with the fictional Ajira Airways, an airline that talks a lot about fulfilling your destiny and returning to the island.

In addition to the obvious suggestions that Ajira Airways is somehow connected to the Oceanic 6 returning to the Island, the online experience also included several Easter Eggs relating to 316, particularly the famous Bible verse about having everlasting life for those who believeth in God.

Octagonal Raft

My fellow BuddyTV writer Oscar Dahl observed that Rousseau’s team’s raft was shaped like an octagon, and while I only assumed it had some vague relation to the DHARMA logo, he offered the possibility that her scientific research team may actually be a part of Octagon Global Recruiting, the DHARMA recruiting business that also had an online tie-in with a big show during this past Comic-Con.

The Numbers on the Radio

Listen closely after the French science team rescue Jin and you’ll hear that they’re listening to the recording of the Numbers, as Rousseau said.

In my 108 Lost Characters You Need To Know, I included Robert, Alex’s father who Rousseau very briefly spoke about to Sayid. It turns out I was right, you did need to know him, because Robert showed up as part of Danielle’s team last night.
